Returning to Lesotho

Lesotho

A couple medical professionals, board members,
and one hanger-on (That'd be me).

Often my trips are either by myself or with one or two people. But every once in a while I am fortunate to travel with a great bunch of similarly minded individuals.

One of the best parts of being with a group is being with people who have not had the opportunity to visit the place where we are going. I will admit that sometimes familiarity, while it helps you know what's going on, can rob you of the pure joy of discovery and observation that first-time travelers have. I love their sense of wonder. It's like watching a child who has found joy in a toy you had lying around from your own childhood. Who knew it could be so exciting?  So, on this trip, there is a good mix of solid veterans and new travelers to the field.

Before any trip, I learned long ago that one has to list the things that you must take and more importantly the things you must not forget. But even more importantly are psychological things that you must pack. These include flexibility, patience, humility, forgiveness, resourcefulness and the ability to live on less sleep.

I'll try to post images here regularly for those who are interested in following this trip.

Subscribe, it'll make it easier to follow the trip.

As usual, if you see typos or spelling mistakes. Don't be shy. :)
